"The end of the matter, that those who do so have someone to rely on". Responsum handwritten by the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Ovadya Yosef, on the ancient custom from Djerba that on the nights of Yom Tov and Yamim Nora’im, the prayer leader reads the Tefilas Amidah out loud. The 11th of Teves, [1979]. And two approbations handwritten by him. Nissan, [1984] and the 22nd of Cheshvan [1988].
Letter by Rabbi Ovadya Yosef, handwritten by him, to the Rav of Netivos Rabbi Raphael Kadir Zaban. The 11th of Teves [1979] and approbations handwritten by him for the Sefer "Re’ach Besamim" [1984] and Divrei Chizkiyau [1989].
* Responsum handwritten and signed by Rabbi Ovadya, which was published in the Yabi’ah Omer Shut, section IIX, Orach Chaim Siman 9.
[5] leaves, official stationery of Rabbi Ovadya Yosef, the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi of Israel. Dense, eloquent script. With additions that were written on one of the leaves, on their margins and one the back of one of the leaves – and were printed in their place in the printed edition.
One of the leaves is cut in its lower part, not affecting the text. Very good condition.
* Approbation handwritten and signed by Rabbi Ovadya for the Sefer [Besamim Rosh Shut with glosses and innovations] Re’ach Besamim (Jerusalem, 1984 edition).
[1] leaf, official stationery, 22 cm. With an embosses stamp of the emblem of the State of Israel.
The leaf is divided in half, its two parts being previously taped one to the other. Written on the lower part of the leaf are four lines only. The upper line on the lower leaf is an instruction to the publisher which does not appear in the printed edition.
Written with pencil on the upper part of the leaf "הסכמת הגאון האדיר מופת הדור כמוהר"ר עובדיה יוסף שליט"א", stains made by the tape. Good condition.
* Draft of an approbation for the new edition of the Sefer "Divrei Chizkiyahu" authored by Rabbi Chizkiyahu Shabtai (Rabbi Yitzchak Morsia edition, Yeshivas Or VaDerech, 1989) handwritten by Rabbi Ovadya Yosef.
Appearing in the printed edition is the approbation dated the 22nd of Cheshvan 1988. The printed approbation is not identical to the version of this draft, since the draft does not include the date, the publisher’s name and titles, the end of the approbation and the Rav’s signature.
[1] leaf, official stationery, 24 cm. With erasures and corrections handwritten by Rabbi Ovadya. Place was left for fillin-in the publisher’s details. No signature.
Fold marks, minor aging stains, slight wear to the margins of the leaf, good condition.
