Letter handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazar taub of Modzitz to the renowned Chassid Rabbi David Perkowitz. New York, [1946].

"May we hear better tidings from our houly country and may Hashem raise the honor of his people soon with complete redemption soon"; letter handwritten and signed by the Admor the holy Rav author of the Imrei Shaul of Modzitz. Brooklyn, [1946].

The Rebbe explains in his letter the reason for the delay in his responses to the letters he had received, the reasons for postponing his trip [to Eretz Yisroel] and details about the location of the picture of his older brother Rabbi Yechezkel Taub.

The holy Rav Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazer, the Imrei Shaul, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Modzitz [1886-1947], one of the greatest Admorim and Tzaddikim of Poland, author of Imrei Shaul and Yissah Beracha. Composed hundreds of tunes which brought the hearts of Bnei Yisroel closer to Hashem. Served as the Rav of Rakov and Kartchov, as Rosh Yeshiva in Otvotzk and as his father’s successor. Was committed to supporting the Jewish Yishuv of Eretz Yisroel, which he visited four times. During World War II, he managed to escape from Vilna to Japan and from there, in 1941, to the USA where he established a Beis Midrash in New York. Passed away in Eretz Yisroel in 1948.
