The holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska [1808-1874] One of the greatest Tzaddikim of Hungary. In his youth, he studied Torah with the holy Gaon the ‘Tiv Gittin’ and the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham of Dembitz. Then he became a leading disciple of the holy Rav the ‘Yismach Moshe’ of Ujhely and a disciple of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin, the holy Rav Rabbi Meir of Premishlan, the holy Rav the Sar-Shalom of Belz, and the holy Rav the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.
He accepted the request of his Rav, the Yismach Moshe, to serve as Rav and Admor of Liska and thousands of Chassidim from all over Hungary used to come to him for blessings and advice. His leading disciple Rabbeinu Yeshayale of Kerestir used to sign his name adding that he was his Meshamesh BaKodesh and leading disciple, attributing his greatness and many virtues to his holy Rav.
Old, worn binding, stains, minor blemishes and small perforations to the title page and first leaf. Good condition.
