A short document providing a peek into the greatness of the leadership of Maran the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky of Vilna! 1928.
A postcard handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Chizkiyahu Yosef Mishkovsky Av Beis Din of Krynki and one of the greatest rabbis of Lithuania, which was sent to Maran the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer in Vilna.
In the letter, the Gaon Av Beis Din of Krynki informs Maran the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer about the results of the most successful elections that were held in his town in Av 1928. ‘The elections were held yesterday and I am hurrying to inform you that thank G-d, the results were most successful. Five religious people representatives of the Batei Midrashos. Two Zionists, also Shomrei Torah, although they are not Mizrachim. One from the Bond. We did not believe such a victory is possible’.
