"D.D [Doron Derasha] by the Admor of Machnovka Shalita". Kiddush cup, a gift from the holy Rav of Machnovka to a bridegroom. Israel, the 20th century,
27 gr. Height: 6.5 cm. Diameter: 6 cm.
The holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschil Twersky (1895-1987) succeeded his father the holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Meir as the Admor of Machnovka. Devoted himself to support religion in the USSR and consequently was arrested in 1932 and exiled to Siberia. After his release, remained in the USSR to support its Jews. In 1965, he immigrated to Israel, establishing the Machnovka court in Bnei Berak.
Slight dents, repairs to the lower part, good condition.
