Typewritten letter by the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Skolen asking for charity for the learned Avrech the grandson of the holy Rav Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk.
In his letter, the eldest Admor of the generation, blesses that the merit of his holy fathers will stand by all those who make efforts for the Mitzvah of Tzeddaka to be blessed with abundance, success and Naches and many more blessings he showers on the donors.
The letter is hand-signed by him and at its beginning, he added the words ‘בעזהשי"ת אדון כל’.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Avraham Portugal of Skolen (1923-2019) was born to his father the Holy Rav Rabbi Eliezer Zussia. He suffered many torments during the Holocaust. He worked for saving orphans of the World War and releasing prisoners of the terrible Soviet rule. With his arrival to the USA, he attracted many who came to him for advice and blessings, which were always fulfilled.
[1] official stationery of the Rebbe. 27X17 cm. Wear to the edges of the leaf. Considerable fold marks and gluing. The name of the Avrech is erased and there are erasure stains on the margins not affecting the text. Good condition.
