Special letter handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Yechiel Michl of Galina the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Meir of premishlan, referring to his in-law and to the holy Rav the Sar Sholom of Belz.
In his letter he appeals to our brothers Bnei Yisroel with a request for his relative the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai, who was a Rav in a town close to Belz, stating that he was close to his great in-law Rabbi Meir of Premishlan.
The holy Rav of Galina asks to help him marry his daughter and blesses anyone who assists in this matter.
‘May Hashem Yisborach help you … and shower you with an abundance of blessing and success in all that you do for the best’.
The second part is also fascinating and important: the holy Rav of Galina asks to help his relative to be appointed Rav and Av Beis Din where such a position is needed, stating that he can be relied on for Issur and Heter and Dinei Mamonos since he is worthy and pious. He also notes an important historical fact: ‘especially since he was Rav and Av Beis Din close to the Tzaddik Rav of Belz who also appreciated him yet there was no position to offer him‘ referring to the holy Rav the Sar Sholom of Belz.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yechiel Michl of Galina [1818-1867] the close son-in-law of Rabbi Meir of Premishlan and the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Chaim the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yosef of Yampli. His father-in-law the holy Rav of Premishlan greatly appreciated him. Was famed for his charity.
