[1], 6, [2], 119 leaves, 31 cm. With stamps of Rabbi Mendel Babad Av Beis Din of Gura-Homora and with a printed sticker indicating that the Sefer had belonged to his son Rabbi Avraham Moshe. With dozens of handwritten glosses, some of them lengthy.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel ben Rabbi Zvi Babad (1862-1930), a son of the renowned Babad family of Tarnopol, a descendant of Rabbi Chaim Babad of Miklenitz, the brother of the Minchas Chinuch. Rabbi Menachem Mendel served, since 1890, as Av Beis Din of Gura-Homora (Bukowina) and was renowned as a true Gaon, Chassid Bar Oryan and model. See Otzar HaRabbanim 13404.
Rabbi Avraham Moshe ben Rabbi Menachem Mendel Babad (1899-1980) a disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Meir Erik, who gave him his Hora’ah Semicha. A gaon, sharp and knowledgeable in all secrets of the Torah. Succeeded his father as Av Beis Din of Gura-Homora. Immigrated to Israel after the Holocaust and served as a Rav in Jaffa. The son-in-law of Rabbi Eliezer Nissan Horowitz of Safed (Dzikov), of the Vizhnitz family.
Old, renewed binding, stains, moth damage, gluing to the verso of the title page, fair-good condition.
