81 leaves, 21 cm. leaves 4-5 and leaf 79 are bound at the beginning of the Sefer, not in place. Without the title-cover and the leaves with the list of subscribers that were printed only in some of the copies. The author’s name is referred to on the title page in Cyrillic characters only since this first edition was published anonymously by the Chofetz Chaim, who travelled through towns and cities to sell his book.
Renewed binding, several leaves are bound out of order, aging stains, a tear to the last leaf. Good condition.
