He received the Sefer from is in-law and uncle the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Mordechai Chodorov the son-in-law of the Imrei Baruch of Vizhnitz, as noted by him.
At the end of the Sefer, his stamp ‘Menachem Mendel Hager the son of the Tzaddik rav Shalita …’ slightly blemished by moth damage.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vishava [1885-1941], the eldest son of the Holy Rav author of the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz. Since 1908, he served as the Rav of Vizhnitz and the Rosh Yeshiva of the Beis Yisroel Yeshiva. In 1921, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Vishava and there too established a large yeshiva that was the largest in Romania with more than 400 students. In 1936, after the passing of his father the Ahavas Yisroel, he started serving as Admor and was admiringly and lovingly titled "Rabbi Mendel of Vishava". He continued teaching at his yeshiva and worked in the entire Ramrush district for supporting Torah and religion. By this he was one of the leaders of the Agudas Yisroel movement and a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.
