Sifri, printed in Lemberg in 1866. The personal copy of the holy Rav Rabbi Yudele of Djikov, with a gloss handwritten by him. On the flyleaf there is an additional gloss handwritten by him.
On the title page, flyleaf and throughout the Sefer, stamps in Hebrew and a foreign language ‘Yehuda Hager Dayan Kloizenburg’ – his family name when he lived their since his parents were illegal citizens those years.
On the flyleaf, a handwritten ownership notation in a foreign language. Written in Hebrew: ‘Horowitz, Shmuel Hanavih 1’.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda Horowitz of Dzikov [1901-1989] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Alter of Dzikov and the frequent visitor of the holy Rav the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz who educated him as a child. The son-in-law of his son the holy Rav the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz. Was known as a sublime and holy Tzaddik and as a wonder-worker, with thousands seeking his blessing. Was a great Gaon who authored many compositions, most of which were not printed. Served as Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek in Kloizenburg. In his old age he lived in London, where he took on himself a Ta’anis Dibur and where he passed away and was buried. Promised that anyone visiting his grave will merit salvation and mercy of if he commits to a Kabbala Tova.
