Two pages handwritten by Rabbeinu the holy Gaon the Hafla’ah, on Tractate Bava Kama and Tractate Gittin. Have never been printed.
2 pages handwritten with pen nib by Rabbeinu Pinchas Halevi Ish Horowitz Av Beis Din of Frankfurt am Main and author of the Hafla’ah, Hamikneh and Panim Yafos. 26 lines per page. Cut in the lower line, yet it is mostly readable.
Torah innovations by the Gaon on Tractate Bava Kama, titled ‘נשמט מגמ’ דב"ק’ and on the other side, innovations on Tractate Gittin, without a title. Begin with the words ‘דף ראשון רבה ‘לפי שאין בקיאין לשמה’ [referring to the Sugya on leaf 2: Sugyas Shetaros].
The content of these leaves as never been printed and does not appear in his innovation Seforim.
Rabbeinu the holy Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Halevi Ish Horowitz (1731-1805), "Ba’al Hafla’ah", Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshiva in Frankfurt am Main, which was then the largest Torah center in Germany and where he served as Rav for more than thirty three years, until his passing. A disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch, the brother of Rabbi Shmuel Shmelkeh Horowitz of Nikolsburg and the Rav of the Chasam Sofer. Author of Sefer Hafla’ah (which includes the Sefer Ketubah on Tractate Ketubos and Sefer Hamikneh on Tractate Kiddushin), Sefer Panim Yafos on the Torah and Shut Givas Pinchas.
