Authorization for a Shoches by Rabbi Shlomo Hacohen, the Cheshek Shlomo of Vilna, handwritten and signed by him. Vilna, [1885].
"Permission is given to the rabbinic Moshe ben Rabbi Zvi Shoches UVodek to slaughter … here in Vilna"; confirmation of Shechita and Bedikah given by the Cheshek Shlomo to a trainee Shoches. The Rav stipulated that additional rabbis join the confirmation "and especially the renowned Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Grodzinsky…".
