Very large compilation with approx. a hundred Halachic responses handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Rabin of Krotshin, one of the greatest Meshivim and a leading disciple of Maran the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.
In response 56, a response by Maran the Divrei Chaim to his question. Approx. 30 handwritten signatures by him!
All the responses were printed in his Sefer Shut Shem Olam, first section. This compilation was written in his fine, curly script and from it, the Halachic responses were printed.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Rabin was born to his father Rabbi Zvi Elazar, a Dayan in Krakow who was also a disciple of the Divrei Chaim. The Divrei Chaim appointed him to edit the second section of his Sefer Shut and repaid him by funding the printing the Sefer of Rabbi Shmuel Aharon, Beis Aharon, on tractate Gittin. Corresponded with Gedolei Hador and the Geonim of Galicia, the Sho’el UMeshiv and Rabbi Shlomo Kluger. Served as Rav of Kortshin, Galicia. Passed away young in Karlsbad in Tamuz 1877 and was laid to rest in Krakow, near his father who passed away there in 1868.
110 leaves. All in his fine script. 32 cm. Minor moth perforations. Small tears to several leaves. Aging stains. New, nice leather binding. Very good condition.
