On [5] pp. at the beginning of the manuscript, a copying of Shut HaRambam. On the [9] last pages: "Table of abbreviations", "Ma’asseh Dr. Yehoshua Ben Levi", Dinei Edus, "Sod HaErusin VeHaKiddushin VeShevah Berachos", Dinei Gittin and Kiddushin and riddles.
At the end of the copying, a colophon stating the Sefer was completed in the month of Shevas 1864 by Sholom ben Se’adya Alkahalani.
Chacham Mari Yichyeh ben Rabbi Yosef Tzalach, the Maharitz (1713-1805) – Av Beis Din of the Jewish communities of Yemen, Rosh Yeshiva, Moreh Tzeddek and Shochet and Bodek in Sanaa. A disciple of his grandfather Mari Tzalach and the elders of his generation Mari Yichyeh Karavani and Mari Se’adya Kti’i. Authored thousands halachic responses. Author of Shut Pe’ulas Tzaddik, Etz Chaim, Chelek HaDikduk, Zevach Todah, Me’il Katan, Sha’arei Kedusha, Sha’arei Tahara and Orach LaChaim.
Chacham Rabbi Sholom ben Se’adya – Talmid Chacham from central Yemen who lived in the 19th century. Wrote innovations and glosses on the margins of an old edition of the Rambam’s Mishneh Torah, referring to the Maharitz’ Etz Chaim Siddur. See Encyclopedia for the Sages of Yemen, p. 614.
