Dedication handwritten by Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin! Sefer Mishneh LaMelech, on the Rambam, by Rabbi Yehuda Rosanis. Hamburg, [1790].
On the flyleaf, a dedication handwritten by Maran Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin the Saraf of Brisk to "my educated sharp and great disciple Naftali Katz".
Near the dedication, the following was added (apparently by Rabbi Naftali Katz who received the Sefer): "Given as a gift by the Gaon Nezer Yisroel Rabbi Yehoshua Yehuda Leib Diskin".

The holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Yehuda Leib (the Maharil) Diskin the Saraf of Brisk [1817-1898], the defender of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. The Rav of important cities in Lithuania. His immigration to Jerusalem in 1877 was a turning point in the history of Jerusalem. The founder and Rosh Yeshiva of the Ohel Moshe yeshiva and the yeshiva of the Diskin legendary orphanage. His blessings and prayers alongside his genius and zealousness brought to his door Gedolei Torah as well as masses of common people. Gedolei Yisroel revered and praised him.
