Six pages handwritten by the Gaon of Pápa, Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman who immigrated to Jerusalem and was acknowledged as one of the Tzaddikim of the generation who merited seeing Eliyahu HaNavih. A known Segulah for protection.

These Torah innovations have never been printed and are mostly on Sugyos of Choshen Mishpas as well as innovations on tractate Shvu’os, the chapter of Kol HaNishba’in, the sugya of DeKetzitza.

All the pages are handwritten by him , dozens of densely written lines – more than two hundred lines handwritten by him. On one leaf, traces of a wax stain, possibly from wax that had dripped from the candle the holy Gaon of Pápa used when writing.

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman "The Dayan of Pápa" [1843-1928], his rabbis said that he was a Kaddosh Merachem who was recognized by his holiness his entire life. He received his Semicha by his great Rav the Mahari Assad, serving as Rosh Yeshiva in his city of Serdahely. Since 1882 until 1906 he served as Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek in Pápa and in 1906 immigrated to the Holy Land, living in Jerusalem and studying Torah in the Beis Midrash of the Basei Ungarin neighborhood. He used to sit all day with his Tefillin and write hundreds and thousands of leaves with Torah innovations, which were kept in the attic of the synagogue until disappearing from there. His great diligence and piety were wonderous. Gaon in Nigleh and Nistar. A modest man who merited seeing Eliyahu. A miracle-worker.

Once, one of the disciples of the Holy Rav Yehoshua Buxbaum Av Beis Din of Galanta sked: Did his holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Yosef the Dayan of Pápa have Ruach HaKodesh? and was answered: I have no knowledge of him having Ruach HaKodesh but I know for a fact that he saw Eliyahu HaNavih.
