Sefer HaHashlama, which supplements Hilchos HaRif on Seder Nezikin, authored by Rabbeinu Meshulam of Bedrish, first section. Paris, 1885.
Stamped with the stamp of the Rav of Jerusalem the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant.
At the beginning of the Sefer, a lengthy foreword. Then the innovations and additions on tractate Bava Kama only, although the title page states that the first section is on tractate Bava Metzi’ah also.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant the Rav of Jerusalem [1816-1909], since his youth was famed for his Torah greatness. The son-in-law of the holy Gaon Rabbi Yosef Zundel Salanter, the founder of the Mussar Movement, a leading disciple of Rabbi Abbali Posvoler of Vilna. Rabbi Shmuel Salant served for dozens of years as Rav, Moreh Hora’ah, Posek and leader of the Ashkenazic community of Jerusalem.
