Lengthy letter about supporting the Ohel Moshe yeshiva of Jerusalem, with the handwritten signatures of the rabbis of Jerusalem and its Geonim Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and Rabbi Eliyahu Kletzkin, and the Gabaim of the yeshiva. Jerusalem, Elul 1926.
In their letter, they appeal to the Shadar in the USA, listing the names of cities and towns where fuds for the yeshiva can be raised. The letter also describes the trips of past Shadarim, their attempts and efforts, ups and downs.
A fascinating document pertaining to the yeshiva that was established at the house of the holy Gaon of Brisk Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin.
The letter is also signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchal Shlomo Blau, the right-hand man of Gaon Av Beis Din Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and previously the right-hand man of Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin, the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehoshua Orenstein and the father of Rabbi Moshe Blau and his famed brother Rabbi Amaram, the leader of Neturei Karta.
The additional signatory is Rabbi David Baharan, one of the founders of the Toras Moshe yeshiva, the son of Rabbi Nachum of Shadik.
With the stamp of the Rav of Lublin and the stamp of the yeshiva.
[1] official stationery of the Ohel Mosh yeshiva, written on both its sides. Filing perforations. Fold marks and slight wear. Good-very good condition.
