Volume of innovations handwritten by Rabbi Avraham Posner, Av Beis Din of Seleshin. Early 19th century. 

[2], 4-9, 11-13, 16-20, 26-29, 30-36 leaves, 20 cm. Innovations on tractates Bava Metzi’ah, Shvu’os, Pirkei Avos, Zevachim, Rosh Hashana, Megilah and Shabbas. With commentaries on the verses from Sefer Shemos and Sefer Devarim and innovations on Hilchos Ribis. On the last page, written beside the innovations is ‘apparently by his son Rabbi Asher Lemil". With notations in preparation for the printing: "This far printed" and "This far copied". 

Rabbi Avarahm Levi Posner (1775-1831) Av Beis Din of Seleshin. The only son of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Chassid and Gittel, the sister of the renowned Gaon Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Charif Av Beis Din of and Ram of Furth. A disciple of his father and a leading disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef HaTzaddik the son-in-law of the Nodah BiYehuda. After his marriage, he went to study with Rabbi Zalman Lifshitz author of the Chemdas Shlomo, the Rav of Warsaw, returning to Posna ten years later.

On Shabbas Parashas Lech Lecha, 11th of Cheshvan 1812, Rabbi Avraham visited the Beis Midrash of the Chozeh in Lublin, prayed there and received Aliyas Shishi. The Chozeh himself read the Torah, ending the Aliya by emphasizing the verse "UMelachim MeChalatzecha Yetze’u". The disciples of the Chozeh were impressed by the blessing their Rav bestowed on the visitor and the Chozeh blessed one of his disciples that he will merit seeing the sons he had blesses in the Holy Land. 

His five sons were renowned Talmidei Chachamim known as the "Chamisha Chumshei Torah": Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Av Beis Din of Zlotchov, Rabbi Asher Lemil Av Beis Din of Galin, Rabbi Nachum Av Beis Din of Shadik, Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda Leib Av Beis Din of Seleshin and Rosh Av Beis Din in Jerusalem, the founder of Kollel Poland-Warsaw, and Rabbi Yisroel. 

Leather binding with gilt ornaments and lettering, wear and restoration to the edges of the leaves, stains, some of the leaves are missing, good general condition.
