Tur Barekes, first edition, Amsterdam 1654, given by the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Heller the Rav of Safed as a gift to the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe of Savran, one of the greatest Tzaddikim of his generation, with names for prayer and salvation.

Tur [Odem Pitedah Barekes and Yahalom] – the Amsterdam Livorno 1654-1656 edition is the first edition of the elucidation by the Kabbalist the holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Hacohen Av Beis Din of Aleppo, a leading disciple of Rabbeinu Chaim Vital who passed away in 1655. The printing of his Sefer began in his lifetime and ended after his passing.
This Section III: Tur Barekes, containing Hilchos Pesach, Yom Tov, Chol HaMo’ed, Tisha BeAv, the fasts, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, Lulav, Sukkah, Hanukkah and Megilah.
With Peshas and Kabbalistic elucidations according to Rabbi Chaim Vital and the Ari.
This section was printed, as said, in Amsterdam at Emanuel Benvanisti Press, in 1654, during the author’ lifetime.
Some of Hilchos Pesach was printed earlier in Constantine, 1550.
This pedigreed copy is incomplete, begining with leaf 9, thus originally when the gift was given. The dedication is written on leaf 9.
Later, beside the Halachos of kneading Matzos for Passover, the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Heller wrote the names of his family members, praying for them. His signature appears again and again beside Hilchos Rosh Hashana and Pesach.
It should be noted that the Rav of Savran passed away when Rabbi Shmuel Heller was about 35.
The holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Zvi of Savran [1775-1838] a disciple of the great Tzaddikim the Rav of Shpoli, Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibuzh, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and the Ohev Yisroel of Opatow. Was renowned as a great Gaon and wonder-worker. Headed the Vohlin Kollel and had many connections with the Jewish Yishuv of the Holy Land and especially, that of Tiberius and Safed.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Heller (1803-1884) Rosh Av Beis Din of Safed and one of its leaders for more than forty years. From all around the world he was sent Halachic questions. Many came to him for advice and blessing. In the great earthquake of 1837 he lost his wife and three children, while he himself was severely wounded. Authored the Seforim Taharas Hakoddesh, Derech Nesher, Divrei Mishpas, Sha’ar Perisha and Kevod Melachim. After his passing, his Sefer Refu’os VeSegulos was published.
442 leaves, 19 cm. The first leaves including the title page are missing. Begins with leaf 9. Leaf 56 with names for prayers is detached. After it, mispagination. Some moth perforations. Uneven edges affecting the headings. Some leaves are worn and some dark. New leather binding.
