Rabbi Aviezer ben Rabbi David Tzitzovich (1892-1976) was born in Chechnovich. Studied at the Lomzha, Breinsk and Slabodka yeshivas and in 1923 at the high Beis Midrash for Jewish studies as well as the university. After his graduation, served as Rosh Av Beis Din of berlin. During the Nazi rule, he refused to shave his beard and was rescued several times from attempts to arrest him. He immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1939. Was a member of the Chief Rabbinate of Tel Aviv and was the manager of its marriage department.
