A list of Ma’amados, also known as Kollelos, of the Ger Chassidim, the worshippers of Beis HaChassidim of Shikun 5 in Bnei Berak, headed by the Admor’s son the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yisroel Menachem. The list includes their and their mothers’ names. With the signature of the Admor of Ger Shalita on the bottom of the list.
Appearing at the head of th elist, which was made and received in Shevas 2000, is the full name of the Admor’s son the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Yisroel Menachem Alter the Rosh Yeshiva of Beis Nechemya in Bnei Berak and the full name of his mother, the Rebbetzin of Ger. Appearing after his name are the names of the Admor of Ger’s grandsons, well-known dignitaries in the holy court of Ger.
The rare handwritten signature of the Admor appears on the lower part of the leaf in black pen.
Kollelos money is a lofty and sublime concept among Chassidim, relating to the connection between a Chassid and his Rav. Im most places, the money is known as Ma’amdos; yet in Poland it is known as Kollelos.
The holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl himself used to determine the amount of the Ma’amados the Chassid gives for Pidyon Nefesh.
In the Chassidic courts of Poland, the amount of money was often negligible; however, the regularity of giving it was what connected the Chassid and his Rav, based on the assumption that if a favor is done for the Tzaddik, he is seemingly committed to return it by making an effort for the giver’s soul. In the holy court of Ruzhin it was customary to give a certain amount for Ma’amados once a year whereas in the holy court of Ger it was given once a month.
