Sefer Shut Sha’os DeRabbanan, by the Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Hacohen of Jerusalem. Yitzchak di Castro and Sons Press, Kushta, [1829]. First and rare edition. This Sefer was published approx. twp years after the author’s passing and contains Shut, Drushim, Chikrei Halachos and innovations on the Rambam. 

102 leaves, 28 cm. 

Rabbi Shlomo Hacohen (passed away in Jerusalem in Tamuz 1827], one of the greatest rabbis and Kabbalists of Jerusalem, author of manu compositions in Nigleh and Nistar, including Mazal Shaah on the Rambam (Salonika, 1812), Sefer Yaffa Sha’ah on Etz Chaim and Sha’ar HaKavanos, Sefer Hora’as Sha’ah on Kavanos HaTefilah (Salinoka, 1818, Sefer DRushim on the Torah, She’as Hechsher (Salonika, 1819), Sefer Sha’ar Ratzon pn the Zohar  (Salonika, 1820) and Sha’os DeRabbanan Shut (Kushta, 1829). His compositions indicate the author’s greatness in all subjects of the Torah, his extensive knowledge and clear style. The Rav was one of the Kabbalists of the Beis El Beis Midrash of Jerusalem. He was sent to Europe as a Shadar of the Kollelos of Jerusalem, staying in Salonika some time to publish his Seforim. 

His son, Rabbi Yehuda, author of Sefer Ohalei Yehuda on the Rambam and Sefer Ashmores HaBoker on the Zohar, was the Rav of Rabbi Nachum of Shadik.
