A letter that was sent to the Fund for Jewish Culture with a warm and cordial request for the Avrech Dov Yisroelson, an important student of the Ponovezh Yeshiva who intended to become a Dayan and had all the requisite qualities.
Rabbi Elyashiv asks the fund to support Rav Yisroelson.
The great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1910-2020] One of the Greatest Poskei Hdor. Was born in Lithuania as the only son of his parents after 17 years of marriage. In 1924, he immigrated with his family to the Holy Land, living all his life in the Meah She’arim neighborhood, in never-ending study of the Torah. Served as Dayan of the supreme Rabbinic Beis Din. President of Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah of Degel HaTorah.
