Letter with a request for support by the Shem Yeshiva of Jerusalem, signed by the Rosh Yeshiva the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach. Jerusalem, 1976.
In the letter, the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel appeals to the activist Rabbi Shmuel Shaulzon, the deputy mayor, with a request to act for giving a one-time grant to the yeshiva whose money box is empty and cannot finish a renovation that had began a long time ago. "The yeshiva was established to increase the number of great Sephardic Talmidei Chachamim … and many are knocking on its doors to be accepted".
Maran the Rosh Yeshiva the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach [1932-2018] one of the greatest transmitter of the teachings in the recent generation, the Rosh Yeshiva of the ‘Ma’alos HaTorah’ yeshiva and the leader of the ‘Bnei Torah’ movement. A fierce hero in the war of the Torah and mighty in keeping the existence of religion in our generation.
