Announcement banning the printing of books or assisting in their printing within three acres without receiving the permission of the "Chevros Kaddisha" of the Wardein community. Rare, handwritten document.
A banning regulation due to printers publishing Divrei Torah for their living and thus causing "disgrace and the desecration of our holy Torah… on behalf of the Chevros Kaddisha and all Beis Yisroel headed by the Gaon Av Beis Din …". Within the framework of the ban, it was forbidden to print any book, in any language and to assist the printers, in a distance of 3 acres from the Wardein community, for ten years, unless permission was received by the Chevra Kaddisha.
