Two $1 banknotes given by the Rebbe in the early years of his distribution of dollars, on the Hitva’adus of the 14th of Adar A 1978, Purim Katan, given to ‘Tankmen’ to be distributed by them.
In the early years, the distribution of dollars was done mainly to Tankmen on varied Hitva’aduyos. The custom was founded in 1975.
These are two banknotes that were distributed in 1978.
On each banknote, their receiver wrote the date it was received and the special occasion during which it was given.
