Stamped and postmarked envelope marking the 85th birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe as a gesture for the Sabbath Candles project. Rare private edition.
Envelope marking "85 years to the birth of the Lubavitcher Rebbe the Seventh Admor of the Chabad dynasty", with a picture of the Rebbe and beneath it the printed inscription "The Rebbe Shalita of Lubavitch".
Size of envelope: 17X10 cm. The is stamped with a postage stamp with an illustration of a napkin, Chalah and Sabbath candles and the inscription "For Sabbath" and the verse "ושמרו ישראל את השבת" in Hebrew and English. Postmarks of Tel Aviv, 10.4.87, the Rebbe’s birthday.
The Sabbath Candles Project – to encourage every woman and girl to light Sabbath candles. This was one of the ten projects initiated by the Rebbe to support the observation of the Torah and the Mitzvos and bring Jews closer to their Father in heaven.
