Letters on matters of charity, receipts and lists of fundraisers for Kollel Shmoreu HaChomos of Jerusalem, handwritten by the famed great Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tenenbaum Av Beis Din of Torno and the vicinity and his son the great Gaon Rabbi Moshe Av Beis Din of Mildoi and author of Masos Moshe. 

The letters include 11 pages of lists, with an addition of several lines handwritten by the holy Gaon the Tzaddik of Torno to Kollel Shomrei HaChomos. The lists are of the needy and the philanthropists who donated to the Kollel. There is also a lengthy lettr handwritten by him explaining the clauses. With his handwritten signature and stamp. The original envelopes are also enclose. 

Some of the pages were handwritten by his son the Tzaddik Gaon of Mildoi who notes that the lists themselves are written by his great father, the holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Torno. 

A letter full of blessings handwritten by the holy Gaon Av Beis Din of Torno that was sent on Motza’ei Shushan Purim 1939 to the Gaon Rav Rabbi Ephraim Epstein the son of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Epstein, the chairman of the Tomchei Yeshivos committee of Chicago. 

‘My blessing, that of a layman, that he merit a hundred and twenty, being healthy in body and mind and the merit of his efforts for the young men Yirei Hashem will protect him … Amen…’

He then added his handwritten signature ‘… Menachem Mendel the son of the Gaon Yaakov Tenenbaum’. 

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tenenbaum Av Beis Din and Ram of Torno [1862-1944] the son of the holy Gaon the author of Nahar Afarsemon and the son-in-law of his uncle the famed holy Gaon the Neta Sorek. One of the greatest rabbis of Hungary who was revered by the Tzaddikim of his generation. The holy Gaon of Shinava ordered to give him Pitka’os. He was also honored during the Chupah of the daughter of the holy Gaon of Munktach. Was known as the Tzaddik of Torno. 

His son the holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Av Beis Din of Mildoi auhored the Sefer Masos Moshe on his visit to the Holy Land. He was also beloved by Gedolei Hador and was considered an important Rav before the war. 

[8] paper items, lists and envelopes with lengthy lines handwritten by the Rav of Torno and his son the Rav of Mildoi and one letter of blessings by the Rav of Torno. Size varies. Good-very good general condition.
