An important notation on the tissue guard: ‘A souvenir to the holy Gaon … Maran Avraham Yoshi’ah Av Beis Din of Nasoid from me Chanoch ben Mendel’.
On the title page, a handwritten name and the stamp of the Mashgi’ach the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Lowenstein, one of the greatest of the Mussar Movement in Lithuania and the Holy Land.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua of Nasoid [1855-1932] one of the Tzaddikm of Hungary, a disciple of Maranan the Maharam Schik and the Yitav Lev and used to travel to the Divrei Chaim of Sanz as well. His blessings saved thousands of Jews. A revered Posek and zealot. His famed great grandson was the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Freund.
The Mashgi’ach the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Lowenstein [1885-1934] a holy Tzaddik, one of the greatest Ba’alei Mussar of the Mir Yeshiva of Lithuania, Shanghai and Eretz Yisroel. A Mashgi’ach and spiritual manager of the Ponovezh Yeshiva of Bnei Berak.
