At its end Hagahos rabbi Sholom Mordechai Hacohen [Schwadron] Av Beis Din of Brazen and Kentres Over Orach by the Aderes. [2], 203 leaves, 30 cm. Approbations by Rabbi Avraham Binyomin Kluger of Brody, the Gral Horowitz, Rabbi Moshe Greenwald and the Aderes. Ownership notations on the flyleaf, the title page and the inside of the back binding. With the handwritten signature of Rabbi Shimon Ehrenreich, and with dozens of handwritten glosses on the margins of the leaves.
Rabbi Shimon Ze’ev Ehrenreich, Domatz of Mad, a sharp and knowledgeable Gaon. The son of the Gaon, Av Beis Din of Shamloy, author of Shut Lechem Shlomo, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich. Rabbi Shimon Ze’ev was, by his first marriage, the son-in-law of his uncle Av Beis Din of Mad author of Shut Kav Chaim, Rabbi Chaim Zvi Ehrenreich. In Sivan 1944, Rabbi Shimon Ze’ev’s wife, children and son-in-law perished in Auschwitz. After the Holocaust, he founded the Keses Shlomo enterprise for publishing the writings of his holy father. Passed away in 1965.
Rabbi Nachman Kahana (1861-1904) the son of Rabbi Chaim Aryeh Kahana the Dayan of Siget, author of Divrei Geonim and the son-in-law of the first Admor of Spinka, the holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Meir Weiss author of Imrei Yosef. Served as the first Rav of the Spinka community since 1885. Was a famed Posek who corresponded with Gedolei Hador. His Sefer Orchos Chaim was approbated by Gedolei Haodr. Passed away at the age of forty three in the lifetime of his father and his father-in-law.
Simple card binding, blemishes affecting the text mainly to the title page and several of the first leaves. Tears and gluing. Aging stains. Two blemished leaves of the table of errors and the names of subscibers. Some of the glosses are faded and difficult to read. Fair condition.
