‘Sending regards and May hashem strengthen him for Torah and Avodah’; letter handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi David Neuman with an addition of a line by Maran the Sheves Sofer and with their signatures, to the Gaon author of She’ilas Yaakov, one of the greatest disciples of the Kesav Sofer with a brief eulogy he added. [1874]. 

Signed letter by the great Gaon Rabbi David Neuman, author of Nir LeDavid Rosh Av Beis Din of Pressburg and one of the greatest disciples of Maran the Chasam Sofer, with an addition of a line and signature bu Maran the Gaon Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer the author of Sheves Sofer of Pressburg, about funds for Eretz Yisroel raised by Rabbi Yaakov Prager and the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Menheim the Daya of Ada.  

On the back of the letter, a brief eulogy and many notations handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Prager with eulogies for the great Gaon author of Sha’arei Torah Rabbi Yirmiyahu Low and the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet Av Beis Din of Toshnad.

The great Gaon Rabbbi David Neuman [1820-1908] Rosh Av Beis Din of Pressburg who, in his youth, was a disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer. Author of Shut Nit LeDavid (Jerusalem, 1911). 

Maran the Gaon Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer [1843-1906] the Sheves Sofer, the son of Maran the Kesav Sofer who followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather the Chasam Sofer. 

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Prager [1849-1918] a disciple of the Kesav Sofer. Rav of the communities of Ada and Petrovasla. Author of Sefer She’ilas Yaakov (Vietzen, 1906) and Toras Yaakov (Jerusalem, 1889).

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Menheim Domatz of the Ada community. 

The great Gaon Rabbi Yirmiya Low [1811-1974] one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary, the son of Rabbi Binyomin Ze’ev Wolf, author of Sha’arei Torah and the son of the Shemen Roke’ach. Received his Hora’ah Semicha at the age of 17 from the Mahram Benet. Was famed for his knowledge of the Shas and the Poskim and Jewish philosophy. 

The holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet Av Beis Din of Toshnad (1803-1874), the eldest son of the holy Gaon author of Mareh Yechezkel of Deyzh. A beloved disciple of Maran the Chasam Sofer and a close confidante of the Yismach Moshe. Authored many Seforim including Derech Yivchar Shut, Yam HaRachav, Otzar Chaim, Dibros Esh and more. 

Tears, blemishes and gluing affecting the text, stains and fold marks, fair condition.
