‘For Maran the holy Admor of Belz Shalita’. Mishnas Chassidim by the holy Kabbalist Rabbi Emanuel Chai Ricci. Third Edition, Lemberg 1858. A copy from which Maran the holy Gaon the Maharid of Belz studied. 

Sefer Mishnas Chassidim, authored by the great Rav knowledgeable in Nigleh and Nistar Rabbi Emanuel Chai ben Rabbi Avraham Ricci of Livorno, printed by the rabbinic Dov Berish the son of the rabbinic Tuvya Ze’ev Luria. Lemberg, 1858. 

Holy and pedigreed copy! written on the flyleaf, ‘For Maran the holy Admor of Belz Shalita Moshen ben Chana Beila Yuda Aryeh ben Yuta Rivkah’ – this Sefer was given as a gift to Maran Rabbi Yissachar Dov – the Maharid of Belz. 

The Maharid of Belz owned and used the Sefer when he lived in Munkatch. 

On the title page, the stamp of Rabbi Moshe Klein of Munkatch who gave the Sefer, with a friend of his, to Maran the Maharid. 

In addition, ownership notations of the givers with their mothers’ names and a notation indicating that the Sefer belongs to Rabbi Moshe Klein and its price was paid in installments. Possibly, the giver is the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Moshe Klein of Munkatch, the son-in-law of the holy Gaon Av Beis Din of Yare Rabbi Yekutiel Yehua Greenwald the son of Maran the Arugos Habosem. 

Maran the Maharid of Belz [1854-1927] one of the greatest Chassidic Tzaddikim, the third of the holy dynasty of Belz. Leader of the community in Galicia, Poland and Hungary. Thousands followed him lovingly and he led them decisively with love and compassion. 

156 leaves. Gluing of the first leaves to the spine. Stains and some dryness to some leaves. signs of water damage and fungus to the last leaves. Non-original binding. Good condition.
