Letter by the Holy Admor author of Imrei Esh of Modzitz to the chairman of the religious council of Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, 1943.
In the letter, the author of the Imrei Esh (who then did not yet serve as Admor) asks for the birth certificate of his son Yisroel Dan, the future Holy Admor author of the Nachalas Dan.
Official stationery, 14X21 cm.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu of Modzitz the ‘Imrei Esh’ (1905-1984) the son and successor of the Imrei Shaul, grew up in Poland with his great forefathers. In 1935, he came to the Land of Israel to cherish its earth together with his great father and stayed to settle it and live on it. When he lived in Tel Aviv, he gathered around him the Chassidim of Modzitz in Israel and attracted many Mevakshei Hashem. After his father’s passing, he became the leader of the community and thousands of Bnei Torah and Chassidim, members of Kibbutzim and settlement and even non-religious Jews gathered around his well-known tables. He brought closer any Jew whoever he may be and his Niguns and tunes brought thousands closer to their Father in Heaven. He was one of the leaders of the generation, a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and one of the leaders of Agudas Yisroel.
