The holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova [1819-1873] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo Leib of Lentshno. A disciple of the Chassidic Tzaddikim the Saraf of Kock, the holy Rav of Ruzhin, the holy Rav of Vorka, the holy Rav of Belz and more. Was admiringly titled the ‘Noam Elimelech Hakatan’. His holy Sefer Toldos Adam was one of the important Seforim of the Chassidus of Poland. The Biala Chassidic dynasty continued from his descendants.
Rabbi Eliyahu ben Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Yosef [Rabbi Yozelman] Luantz Ashkenazi (1564-1636) a disciple of the Maharal of Prague. Rav in Folda, Hanau and Friedberg and Rosh Yehsiva and Rav in Worms. Later he moved to study in a yeshiva in Krakow. Since he was a Kabbalist Rav who wrote amulets he was also known as Rabbi Eliyahu Ba’al Shem. Was a prolific author who wrote Piyyutim and sermons and also proofread and elucidated manuscripts.
