Important letter of recommendation handwritten entirely by the holy Rav author of the Knesses Yisroel of Deyzh for one of his leading disicples, 1904.
‘The Bachur Muflag sharp and knowledgeable … Yitzchak Werner … his Yirah precedes his wisdom, in Halacha and Aggada, Pilpul and Svara, and I have found him full with Birkas Hashem’.
The Knesses Yisroel ends with his holy blessings ‘for this may Hashem fulfill all your wishes for the best … for the honor of the Torah and its learners, Beha’alotcha 1904′.
The Knesses Yisroel then added his signature and stamp to the letter which was handwritten entirely by him.
The Holy Rabbi Yechezkel Panet the Knesses Yisroel of Deyzh (1870-1930) one of the great Tzaddikim of Transylvania. Studied with his grandfather the Holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet and by his order started laying Tefillin at the age of seven since he was, to cite his grandfather, ‘a young one who knows how to take care of his Tefillin’. Already in his youth corresponded with many of Gedolei Hador, especially with the Shamah Shlomo and his son the author of the Darkei Teshuva of Munkatch.
