Unique artistic Jewish item! A kit for the traveller for the Jewish festival of Shavu’os, containing a silver case with the scroll of Ruth, placed with a Torah pointer in a fancy case. [Europe], [1896]. 

Artistic kit for Shavu’os containing:

* The Scroll of Ruth, ink on vellum, height 9 cm. [2] sheets, [9] columns, [17] lines per columns, Ashlenazic scribal script.

* Silver Megilah case, with a handle inlaid with red and green gems, a handle for extracting the Megilah with the inscription ‘Megilas Ruth’.

* A Torah pointer for reading the Megilah, wood and silver, decorated with [2] color gems and a metal ring. Length 14 cm.

* A case for placing the Megilah and pointer, designed like an Etrog-case, with a handle and buckle. Wood with metal decorations and reinforcement. Red velvet lining, with a device for holding the pointer and Megilah. Length 18 cm. Width 9 cm. Height 10.5 cm. With the inscription "Shavu’ot" "5 Sivan 5656".

The case, Megilah case and pointer are in good-very good condition. The vellum is with ink stains, some minor holes between the columns, fair-good condition. The Kashrus of the Megilah has not been examined.
