Telegram of blessing to the member Rabbi Yechiel on his 90th birthday, postmarked as a donation to the Jewish National Fund. Wandsbek, 1908.
"Blessings will be heard from all over the place, since you have merited living ninety years!" – Donation telegram to the Jewish National Fund and a blessing for a 90th birthday. Wandsbek [today part of Hamburg, Germany]. 07.08.1908.
[1] leaf, telegram, with a German stamp and [5] "Zion" stamps. Printed on the telegram: "Its value to the Jewish National Fund". The blessing is written in calligraphy with black ink and the acrostics in red ink. The Hebrew word for "Ninety" is written in large red letters, on the backdrop of illustrations of leaves and flowers. At the center of the telegram, an illustration of a star-of-David with the letters מ’ז’ל’ ט’ו’ב’ in its vertexes and in its center, the letter צ’ marking Rabbi Yechiel’s age. [2] postmarks that were partly preserved.
Blemishes to the edges of the leaf, damage due to the acidity of the ink, stains, fold marks, fair condition.
