[1] leaf, printed, 33 cm. In his letter, the Admor mentions his intention to publish his Sefer Divrei Yechezkel Sheraga on Hilchos HaMitzvos hatluyos BaAretz, which was published in 1966.
The holy Admor Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga Lifshitz-Halberstam of Stropkov (1908-1994) was born to his father Rabbi Yissachar Dov Lifshitz of Ungvar (a descendant of the holy Rav author of HaAri Dvei Ilai) and his mother Mers. Beila, a descendant of the Sanz Chassidic dynasty.He studied at the yeshiva of Rabbi Avraham Yosef Greenwald the son of the author of Arugs HaBosem. In 1932 he married Mirian Leah, the daughter of Rabbi Yitzchak Reuven Lifshitz Av Beis Din of Tsharni-Donaietz. Served as Rav in Yablonka and as a Chassidic Dayan in Bergsas. He lost his wife and children in the Holocaust, yet acted with superhuman bravery to support the Jewish prioners with his relative the holy Gaon of Kloizenburg. After the Holocaust, he served as the Rav of She’eris Hapleta in Bamberg and Munich. In 1949, he immigrated to the Holy Land and eventually established his Beis Midrash in the Meah She’arim neighborhood. The holy Rav of Satmar appointed him the one in charge of the Kashrus of the Mikva’os of the Holy Land. Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga was renowned for his genius and vast knowledge of the Torah alongside his great piousness. Authored many Seforim on Halacha and Aggada.
