[5], 5-76, 79-102 leaves, 19 cm. Owner’s signatures on the flyleaf and title page, including the signature of rabbi Yonah Bondi. On the last page, a poem praising the Sefer by the editor.
The Gaon Rabbi [Moshe] Yonah ben Rabbi Avraham Bondi (1768-1806) of Prague, a disciple of Rabbi Yechezkel Landau the author of the Nodah BiYehuda. Moved to Meinz for his marriage to Mrs. Beila the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Naftali Hirtz Shayer of Meinz. Innovations by Rabbi Moshe Yonah were printed in Sefer Torei Zahav. Additional innovations on the Shas, from the time he studied at the Meinz Yeshiva, remained as a manuscript and are kept in the National Library.
New, elegant leather binding with gilt lettering, stains, wide margins, some moth holes, good-very good condition.
