Sefer Shnei Ofarim, Divrei Mussar and Drushim on the Jewish festivals, I, by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Broide of Kittsee. Scholl & Landau Press, Prague, 1825. Single edition. Signature and owner’s notation by Rabbi Mordechai Meir Friedman. 

[8], 49, [7] leaves. With approbations by Gedolei hador including Rabbi Mordechai Benet, the Chasam Sofer and more. Published with the assistance of the Baron Rothschild. With the signatures of Rabbi Mordechai Meir Friedman, who added that he is from the city of the Gaon author and merited visiting his grave many times. He also wrote words praising the author and a prayer that the author’s merit may protect him and his family. 

Rabbi Zvi Hirsch ben Rabbi David Broide (passed away in 1820) – a famed Gaon, Av Beis Din of Semnitz and Kittsee (Hungary), author of Eretz Zvi VeTe’omei Zvua on the Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer and Shnei Ofarim, Sefer Drushim. 

Rabbi Mordechai Meir ben Rabbi Yisroel Yom Tov Lipman Friedman (passed away in 1984) – a leading disciple of Rabbi Yosef Elimelech Kahana Av Beis Din of Ungvar. Before the Holocaust was Rav and Ram of Kittsee (Austria). Author of Sefer Imrei Mordechai and additional Ma’amarim. Immigrated to Bnei Berak, where he lived modestly, studying and teaching Torah. He also gave lessons at the Heligman synagogue of Bnei Berak and Chug Chasam Sofer in Tel Aviv. Was laid to rest on the Mount of Olives. 

Renewed binding, stains, partly dismantled spine, a tear to the edge of the title page, the last leaf was mounted on the flyleaf, fair condition.
