Chacham Chaim ben Rabbi Shabtai Shonschol (passed away in 1859) was a Talmid Chacham and Darshan in Izmir, who passed away at a young age after much suffering. The son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak Istrogo. His Divrei Torah were compiled by Rabbi Raphael Chiya Pontremoli and were published in this Sefer.
