A signed receipt by the great Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Gordon, the Rosh Yeshiva and Rav of Telz, to the supporters of the yeshiva.
Printed receipt, with a handwritten addition of the names of the philanthropist and her family, for a donation that was received in Chernovich in 1904. The receipt is ssigned with the personal stamp of ‘Eliezer ben HaRosh Gordon Ram and Av Beis Din of Telz’.
The great Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Gordon [1841-1910] a disciple of Rabbi Yisroel Salanter, the Rav of Kovno and Slabodka and eventually, the famed Rav of Telz. Headed the Telz Yeshiva which had hundreds of students including some of the Rashei yeshivas in the generation before the Holocaust.
