Letter by Rabbi Nachum Twersky, on behalf of his in-law Rabbi Yosef Zvi Kalisch Av Beis Din of Bnei Berak, to its mayor, Rabbi Yitzchak Gerstenkorn, confirming he received the Pidyon Hanefesh. Bnei Berak, Chol Hamo’ed Sukkoth [1938]. 

"The gratitude and blessing of his holy honor Shalita that may Hashem bless his honor with Gemar Chatimah Tovah and a year of abundance and success … good livelihood and may his sitting in the Holy Land be out of wealth"; an appeal on behalf of the Rav of Bnei Beral to its mayor Rabbi Yitzchak Gerstenkorn, expressing gratitude and blessing for Pidyon Nefesh to assist him in a time of stress, when "the situation in Israel and in Bnei Berak especially is most terrible…"

The holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Zvi ben Rabbi Shimon Kalisch (1887-1957) the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Biala. In 1927 started serving as Admor and Rav in Kortashov, Poland. Since 1935 served as the Rav of Bnei Berak and after the Holocaust became the Admor of the Chassidim of Skarnovich and Vorka. His son-in-law was Rabbi Nachum Twersky the son of Rabbi Yehuda Leib of Hornisteipol.
