Wonderful! Manuscript on how to survive a plague – handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, who advises to take a vow to study tractate Keritos.

This letter was sent to the relative of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, who was suffering from health issues due to a plague. In the letter, the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim recommends that he immediately start studying tractate Keritos. If it is impossible for him to do so because of his health, he suggests taking a vow to study later and also to donate the worth of a Korban Todah, a sheep or young goat, to poor Torah scholars.

Later, he writes many blessings for good health.

In the second part of the letter, he expresses his joy over the good tidings about the miracle that happened to that relative whom the merit of his fathers and good deeds helped to save him from a great danger.

The Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Blesses him again ‘May G-d strengthen him and may he see longevity and the joy of his offspring Amen’.
