"Ketiva VeChatima Tova to the Tzaddik Gaon Rav … Akiva Yosef Shalita"; postcard by Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak Segal Levinger to Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger. Panczelcseh, 1911. 

"I wish to ask that he evoke the merit of our forefathers … may he not remove his grace from us to mention us favorably", postcard to Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger of Jerusalem, to pray for the success of the writer and his family. Handwritten by Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak Segal Levinger, Av Beis Din of Panczelcseh. Towards Rosh Hashana, 1911. 

[1] leaf, 14X9 cm. [16] lines handwritten on one of the pages. On the second page, the Rav’s stamp and postmarks. 

Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak Segal Levinger – the son of Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh, author of Sefer Orchos Chaim on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim. His father passed away when he was a child. Was a disciple of the Kedushas Yom Tov of Siget. His in-law, Rabbi Yaakov Kopel Lichtenstein, was Av Beis Din of Betlahn, Volshorheli and Radovich. For approx. twenty years, he was Av Beis Din of Panczelcseh, near Klausenburg to which he moved in his old age and where he passed away in 1920. 

The Renowned Holy Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger author of the Lev HaIvri [1837-1922] a disciple of his father Rabbi Yechiel who was a disciple of the Chasam Sofer and the Ketav Sofer, the Maharam Schick and the Machaneh Chaim. The son-in-law of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kalameu. Immigrated to the Land of Israel and acted for its pure settlement. Was renowned for his unique Psakim on several matters, Psakim that led to a heated polemic for several years.

One of the stamps was removed, creating a blemish, stains, good condition.
