Lengthy letter on matters of rabbinate and leadership of the community handwritten entirely by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi David Yehuda Zilberstein, on the official stationery of his father the holy Gaon of Vietzen author of Ma’assai Lamelech. 1928. 

The letter was sent in Shevas 1928 to the great Rav Rabbi Zvi Friedman the manager of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos of the Holy Land in America. 

In the letter he discusses the appointment of the important rabbis as rabbis of American communities. The names include the name of Rabbi Naftali Sheraga Feibel Sofer the son of Rabbi Shmuel Binyomin Sofer author of Divrei Sofrim and grandson of the holy Gaon Rabbi Sussman Sofer of Paks the Yalkus Eliezer, now in Romania. Rabbi David Yehuda, the son of the holy Gaon of Vietzen, pleads to find for him a rabbinate position to support him and his family, the community choosing him as Rav being able to enjoy the light of his Torah and leadership.  

Eventually the Avrech the Gaon Rabbi Naftali Sheraga Feibel passed away in 1930. 

The letter is handwritten entirely by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi David Yehuda Leib Zilberstein and with his signature and stamp. 

The Tzaddik gaon Rabbi David Yehuda Leib Zilberstein, the eldest son and successor of his father the holy Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein of Vietzen, author of Ma’assai Lamelech. Rabbi David Leib was named after his grandfather, the author of Yad David. Studied Torah with the holy Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler and Rabbi Shaul Brach of Kashoi. In the year this letter was written, 1928, he was appointed as the second Rav alongside his father and later became the Rav of the city, following in the footsteps of his holy fathers.
