Rare Psak Halacha signed by the leaders of the rabbinate for Adas Yisroel of Jerusalem, before the splitting up of the Basei Din. Jerusalem, 1920.
On the official stationery of the ‘Rabbinate Office for Adas Yisroel’. Printed on it are the names of the heads of the rabbinate including the Sephardic Geonim Rabbi Chaim M. Elyashar, Rabbi Eliyahu M. Panigel, Rabbi David Papo and Rabbi Binyomin Elkutzir and the Ashkenazic Geonim including Rabbi Lipman David Shovaks, Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Yonah Re’em and Rabbi Fischel Bernstein. The secretaries’ names also appear including the Sephardic Rabbi Yosef Chai Panigel and the Ashkenazic Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Weber [Shazuri],
On the 19th of Adar, after the appointment of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook and before the establishment of the Chief Rabbinate, a special document signed by the rabbis of the Beis Din that was established after the Turkish rule containing a Psak Din concerning Rabbi Nathanel Cohen and his client Eizen and the Nachalas Yisroel company and an agreement they had both signed.
The document is signed by the heads of the Beis Din: Rabbi Chaim Moshe Elyashar, Rabbi David Papo and Rabbi Binyomin Elkutzir, Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Yonah Re’em and Rabbi Yerucham Fischel Bernstein.
A year later, when the Chief Rabbinate of Israel was established, the Basei Din split up.
