Rabbi Chanoch ben Avraham Dayan of Posnan (ca. 1603-1663) served as Rav of Gnesen, Poland. In 1656 he escaped from Poland to Bohemia and in 1659 immigrated to Germany, where he served as Rav of Etingen.
Rabbi Hertz Kalif, one of the famed leaders of the Furth community who was referred to numerous times in ‘Pinkas Kehilas Berlin’. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi David Rintel of Hamburg.
